The environment at the heart of the French G7 presidency

As part of the French G7 presidency, the environment sector is coordinated by the Ministry for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, and International Negotiations on Climate and Nature, which leads the discussions and initiatives carried out in this framework, in close cooperation with the relevant administrations and partners.

The French presidency aims to use this work cycle as an opportunity to:

• promote the sharing of best practices;
• mobilize partners;
• strengthen multilateral action within the framework of the 2026 international environmental agenda;
