New phraseology

SERA* lays down the common rules of the air and operational provisions regarding services and procedures in air navigation within Europe. Regulation (EU) 2016/1185 (SERA C), published on July 21st 2016, establishes provisions for radio-telephony procedures to enter into force on October 12th 2017. *SERA - Standardized European Rules of the Air

Standardised phraseology shall be used in all situations for which it has been specified. Only when standardised phraseology cannot serve an intended transmission, plain language shall be used (SERA 14001).

Except for safety reasons, no transmission shall be directed to an aircraft during take-off, during the last part of the final approach, during the landing roll and during the initial phase of the missed approach. Radiotelephony procedures (SERA 14055)

  • DIFFERENCE: “Runway extended centre line” becomes for France “runway track”
    This is a difference from the AMC (Acceptable Means of Compliance) published by the EASA and accepted by the French NSA.
